The truth is I’m just a girl who’s been taking photos since the moment I first got my hands on a camera over ten years ago. I experience an intimacy behind the lens. It is in these moments that I am most comfortable.
While growing up in a suburban city, I dreamt of small towns, open landscapes, and intimate spaces.
I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio Art with an Emphasis in Digital Art and Photography from the University of Minnesota Duluth. While at the university, my passion for exploring forgotten places led to my series, Consolidate, which was exhibited at the Tweed Museum of Art in 2009.
In 2014, I received my Masters in Communication from Bethel University.
